because all those small details
that fill your days (and your heart)

are the ones you'll wish you could relive forever.

I believe in capturing life as it unfolds naturally. No posing. No staging. Just pure, genuine documentation of your family's story. Through careful observation and artistic insight, we create images that will transport you back to exactly how these days felt.
Your kids don't need to sit still or say cheese. There's no pressure to dress perfectly or keep the house spotless. Those aren't things you'll look back on years from now anyways.
I'm there to document your family's real dynamics: the good, the bad and everything in between. Alongside the big moments (and big feelings), I also capture the small details that make your home uniquely yours: the height marks penciled on the doorframe, grandma's well-worn armchair, the dogs toys that always get strewn around the house no matter how many times you put them away. These quiet details are part of your family's story, and they'll bring back a flood of memories years from now.
all about documentary photography

What is documentary photography?
Documentary photography is the art of capturing life exactly as it happens, without direction or posing. Like a visual storyteller, a documentary photographer observes and records the authentic moments that make up your daily experience. Rather than creating perfect, staged images, we photograph real life in all its beautiful imperfection - from morning routines to bedtime rituals, and all the meaningful moments in between. This approach preserves not just how your family looks, but how you truly live, love, and grow together.
Why documentary photography?
Traditional photography captures how we look. Documentary photography captures how we live. Through unposed, authentic documentation of your daily life, we preserve:
- The natural rhythm of your family's routines
- Genuine expressions and unscripted interactions
- The intimate details that make your life uniquely yours
- The emotional texture of your days
Who is documentary photography for?

Anyone feeling:
- A bittersweet recognition that today's ordinary moments will become tomorrow's precious memories
- Fear that you might forget the small details. You know, the ones that make your heart feel so full today
- An urge to preserve not just milestone moments, but the genuine, unscripted parts of life that make it uniquely yours
- A deep appreciation for your current life chapter, combined with awareness that it won't last forever
- A profound awareness that life is moving quickly, especially if you have young children or are watching pets age
- A sense of being "in the thick" of life's most precious chapter - career growth, moving, deepening relationships, raising children
the problem you're wrestling with isn't just about wanting photos - it's about wanting to preserve your present reality in a way that will let you relive it years from now. you don't just want to remember what things looked like, but how it felt to be in these moments.

FAQ
What can I expect during our time together?
Relaxed coverage that flows with your natural routine. I will naturally guide you as needed, focusing on genuine interactions, beautiful light and real moments.
How long do sessions last?
I have multiple packages for whatever feels best for you, but I find that the best photos come from sessions that are 2-4 hours long. I know that sounds like a long time but it's just the right amount of time for you to start feeling more comfortable! <3
How should I prepare?
Stick your normal routine. This includes wearing your favorite comfy clothes and leaving your space as is. Feel free to do a general tidying up but no need to deep clean - if fact, we ask that you don't do that!
Do you edit your photos?
Fuji cameras are incredible with color (it's one of the reasons I'm obsessed with them), but sometimes I like to play with those tones to really help you FEEL that moment when you look back at your photos. Aside from that, I'm happy to remove minor blemishes (like pimples) and sometimes stray hairs. But let's be so for real with each other - I'm not about that plastic-smooth skin or magic body-morphing life. If you book with me, please know that those crinkly-eyed smiles your partner lives for, the freckles your kids play connect-the-dots with, and those laugh lines that prove you've lived a life full of joy? Those are my favorite things about you and I wouldn't change them for the world.
How long does it take to get the photos back?
I have a general 6 week turn over time but if you'll learn one thing about me its that I am just as excited as you to get these back to you so I always try to return them so much faster than that.
How many photos will I receive?
This really all depends on your package and honestly, how comfortable you (and your people) feel around me. This is why it's so important that we're a good match!
At any rate, I provide every photo that I would expect if the session was of me - meaning if we go above the number indicated in your package you will receive all those photos included (no additional fees here).
